The amounts of CD14+ monocytes/macrophages (as percentage of all leucocytes found in the fracture hematoma) and CD34+ hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (as percentage of all mononuclear cells) were increased significantly within SBM IR (surrounding bone marrow of immunologically restricted patients) when compared to SBM of controls and numerically within the FH IR when compared to FH of controls (Figure 1A,B). This evidence concerns the gene CD14 and familial hyperaldosteronism.
