In this work, we also observed Asc/TETA treatment result in global H3 acetylation in MCF-7 cells, which is not associated with H2O2 production and the viability of MCF-7 cells, but evidence has shown that elevating histone acetylation by SIRT1 inhibition induces breast cancer cell apoptosis [41], possibly through the upregulation of p21 [42]. Here, SIRT1 is linked to breast cancer.
