In the present study, we found that the serum levels of SAA, PROZ, and C4BPB were significantly decreased in patients with TB compared to those with pneumonia or COPD (Fig 3), indicating that a larger alteration of proteins related to the coagulation system occurred in patients with pneumonia or COPD than in those with TB. The gene discussed is PROZ; the disease is chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
