The negative correlation between NRG1-ErbB4 and the phosphorylation of GluN2B, the increased NRG1/ErbB4 and decreased phosphorylation of GluN2B at Y1472, suggests that the NRG1-ErbB4 pathway may be protective against NMDAR-mediated hyperexcitability in symptomatic epilepsy. Here, GRIN2B is linked to epilepsy.
