We also noted that lariciresinol-4-β-D-glucopyranoside treated decreased the NF-κB-regulated genes encoding for the acute phase marker SAA1 [47] and inflammatory cytokine IL-6 were down-regulated (8.84 and 2.41-fold decrease, respectively) (Fig 4D and S4 Table), which reflects the systemic inflammatory response and key factor in symptom formation in influenza.
