IL2RA and infection: Silver et al. (2016a, b) found that during lung infection in mice caused by either influenza A, Haemophilus influenzae, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), or Staphylococcus aureus, GATA3 expression in the resident ILC2s was rapidly down-regulated (within two days after infection), and this was accompanied by decreased expression of ST2, CD25 (IL-2Rα), IL-7Rα, inducible costimulator (ICOS), and the stem cell factor receptor c-kit (CD117).
