In this study, we show that, in ccRCC, MEIS1 overexpression arrests cell cycle at G1/S transition, along with reduced expression of cyclin D1 and cyclin A. Previous reports showed that MEIS1 controls cells proliferation via regulating cyclinD1 and c-MYC level [33–35]. Here, MEIS1 is linked to nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
