NFKB1 and colitis: Therefore, sustained by the study conducted by Cannarile and collaborators [35], we can hypothesise that GILZ overexpression reduces NF-κB activation induced by intracolonic TNBS administration and that GILZ-dependent inhibition of the NF-κB pathway could contribute to the lower susceptibility to TNBS-induced colitis observed in CORT-nursed rats.
