IFNG and cancer: Of note, its synthetic derivative, PolyICLC, which has already been successfully used in DEC-205 targeting trials46,47,48 exhibits a better resistance to hydrolysis as well as a greater potency to induce IFNγ-secreting T cells49 than Poly(I:C) and, most importantly, was proven a safe adjuvant in healthy human volunteers50 and in cancer patients51,52.
