Indeed, c-Jun is down-regulated post-natally during SC differentiation and myelination and is highly up-regulated under pathological conditions such as peripheral nerve injuries, demyelinating diseases or other peripheral neuropathies (Stewart, 1995; Parkinson et al., 2008; Hutton et al., 2011; Hantke et al., 2014; Klein et al., 2014). This evidence concerns the gene JUN and peripheral neuropathy.
