ABCD3 and infection: Staining with an antibody to ABCD3 showed a significant increase in fluorescent staining in the KSHV infected cells compared to mock infected cells in three different infections at 48 and 96 hpi in TIME cells and 96 hpi in primary human dermal microvascular endothelial cells (hDMVECs) and lymphatic endothelial cells (LECs) (Fig 4E–4H), indicating that during latent infection KSHV significantly upregulates ABCD3 protein expression.
