GO pathway analysis of genes regulated by IL-6 under androgen deprivation conditions (10% charcoal/dextran-treated FBS (CDT)) and REST knockdown showed that the 3735 and 4816 genes regulated by IL-6 treatment and REST knockdown, respectively, were commonly significantly enriched (−log [P-value] > 1.3) in IL-6, EMT, stemness, cancer and oxidation pathways. This evidence concerns the gene REST and cancer.
