To conclude, we are of the opinion that the hypothesis of fatal anaphylaxis following vaccination should be formulated exclusively when circumstantial data, medical records when available, and postmortem investigation results (mast cell tryptase, total IgE and specific IgE determination, immunohistochemical research of eosinophil and mast cell accumulation in splenic red pulp) converge in a consistent pattern. This evidence concerns the gene IGHE and anaphylaxis.
