ADSL and infection: The common response to multiple pathogens identified in our meta-analysis is characterized by the increased expression of several immune genes, including all canonical AMPs, genes encoding cuticular proteins (LOC552685, CPR14 and LOC100577229), which likely respond to tissue damage by pathogens, and heat-shock related proteins (LOC410087, LOC724367), which may serve as markers of stress during infection response [36].
