Proteins involved in cell adhesion (POSTN, MCAM, L1CAM and several collagen and integrin proteins), actin-based cytoskeletal organization (LASP1 and several myosin proteins), stress resistance (CRYAB), cell signaling (DAB2, CSPG4), and tumor suppression (BASP1, UTRN) were found to be upregulated at both transcript and protein levels in UW228 cells, relative to Daoy (Table 2 and Supplemental Table S3). The gene discussed is LASP1; the disease is neoplasm.
