ZAN and influenza: Immunohistochemical analysis revealed viral antigens in the bronchiolar epithelium of influenza virus-infected mice regardless of ZAN treatment (pH1N1/PBS+ZAN, pH1N1/PBS, pH1N1/OVA+ZAN and pH1N1/OVA) at Day 3 post-infection (Fig 6D), indicating that ZAN treatment in this murine model had a negligible impact on influenza virus infection of the bronchiolar epithelium.
