miR-375 plays a role in the development and maintenance of the α- and β-cell mass in the normal pancreas and is upregulated in patients with type 2 diabetes [75, 76].miR-375 targets 3-phosphoinositide-dependent protein kinase-1 (PDK1) in PC and inhibits PC cell proliferation in vitro [77, 78].
