RAB29 and Parkinson disease: This locus contains five genes—SLC45A3, NUCKS1, RAB7L1, SLC41A1, and PM20D1. The association between PD and NUCKS1 was first described in the GWAS conducted by Simon-Sanchez et al. (2009), whereas the association with RAB7L1 was first shown in Satake et al. GWAS (Satake et al., 2009).
