Prdm 2, also known as RIZ1 (Retinoblastoma-interacting zinc-finger protein 1), is a tumour suppressor which exhibits histone H3 lysine 9 methyltransferase activity (Derunes et al., 2005) and has been shown to be inactivated in a variety of tumours (Liu et al., 2013, Tan et al., 2014, Zhang et al., 2015). This evidence concerns the gene PRDM2 and neoplasm.
