To further investigate the mechanisms underlying the preventive effects of CR on the progress of amyloidosis, we determined the mRNA levels of genes involved in chronic inflammation such as NF-κB (Nfkb1), TNF-α (Tnfa), IL-1β (Il1b), IL-6 (Il6), TGF-1β (Tgfb1) and F4/80 (Adgre1), a macrophage marker in the liver (Fig 5). Here, NFKB1 is linked to amyloidosis.
