The levels of phosphorylated LKB1 were distinctly higher in kidneys of Umod mutant mice than in controls, supporting activation of the LKB-AMPK pathway in response to disturbed energy homeostasis in ADTKD-UMOD affected kidneys (Fig. 5B).
