The receiver-operator characteristics (ROC) curve analysis showed that the area under the curve (AUC) for the prediction of prostate cancer with GS ≥ 6 by FABP5 was 0.757 (95% confidence interval [CI] 0.570–0.944, p-value = 0.027), whereas the AUC value was 0.593 (95% CI 0.372–0.815, p-value = 0.42) for prediction by serum PSA (Fig. 4A). This evidence concerns the gene FABP5 and prostate carcinoma.
