CRP and neoplasm: In buccal cancer (Table 3), CRP elevation (CRP ≥ 5.0 mg/L) was significantly associated with advanced tumor status (p < 0.001), advanced stage (p = 0.001), advanced pathological nodal status (p = 0.009), nodal status with ECS (p = 0.003), tumor depth ≥ 10 mm (p < 0.001), skin invasion (p < 0.001), nerve invasion (p = 0.042), and bone invasion (p = 0.011).
