Since that genetic polymorphisms may play a role in response to AEDs [10], we conducted an updated systematic review in order to summarize the impact of polymorphisms in ABCB1, ABCC2, ApoE, CYP1A1, CYP2C9, GABRA1, GABRA2, GABRA3, GAT3, GSTM1, SCN1A, SCN2A, and SLC6A4 genes on AEDs resistant epilepsy. This evidence concerns the gene CYP1A1 and epilepsy.
