In light of the numerous reports with regard to the critical and differential roles of LOX and LOXL2 in solid tumor progression, in particular breast cancer [3, 4], the availability of a dual LOX/LOXL2 inhibitor (PXS-S1A) and highly specific LOXL2 inhibitor (PXS-S2A), lays the foundation for dissecting the specific functional role of LOXL2 in breast cancer. This evidence concerns the gene LOXL2 and breast cancer.
