Two case series evaluated meningiomas from NF2 patients only for the allelic imbalances most commonly observed in sporadic meningiomas, and confirmed frequent somatic inactivation of the NF2 gene, as well as losses of chromosome arms 1p, 6q, 9p, 10q, 14q and 18q [9, 10]. The gene discussed is NF2; the disease is meningioma.
