PBMC (week 12) gene networks identified included the activation of T cell development, differentiation of TH1 cells, maturation and memory of T lymphocytes by nodes of interaction for the genes CD40LG, LCK, LEF1, IFNAA1/A13, IL-22, TNFSRSF4, LTB, CCL3 and CD27. A distinct phenotype was observed in PBMC (week 20) after infection with S. mansoni—most likely due to the immune recall response and clearance of the pathogen. This evidence concerns the gene CD27 and infection.
