We show that cancer cells more susceptible to targeted therapy, such as the colorectal BRAF‐addicted COLO205, which undergo cell death when treated with the specific targeted agent, might even show a basal level of mitochondrial priming, as well as cancer cells more susceptible to chemotherapy (Ni Chonghaile et al., 2011), and are consistently susceptible to the loss of HSP27 which causes increased MOMP. The gene discussed is BRAF; the disease is cancer.
