Having, as a starting point, the fact that Perindopril not only decreases hypertension, but it also possesses pleiotropic properties (due to the accumulation of bradykinin), by which it ameliorates the endothelial dysfunction, this study, therefore, compares its effect on TSP-1 plasma levels versus other antihypertensive regimens, as a chronic treatment, in patients with hypertension (HTN) and endothelial dysfunction (ED). This evidence concerns the gene THBS1 and endothelial dysfunction.
