Body mass index (BMI), waist-to-hip ratio (WHR), fasting plasma glucose (FPG), hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), uric acid (UA), alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate transaminase (AST) and γ-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) in MetS group were significantly higher than those in control group (P < 0.01, respectively), while high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and albumin (ALB) were significantly lower (P < 0.05).
