More interestingly, the EGFR expression in lesions that were falsely considered as adenomatous by endoscopist during the colonoscopy (hyperplastic polyps) was null (50%) or mild (score 1: 37.5%; score 2: 12.5%) for all of them (n = 8), similarly to adjacent (n = 52) or distal (n = 52) normal colorectal mucosa (intensity score 0–1: 66.1% to 92.5%). This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and hyperplastic polyp.
