It has been also shown that synergistic treatment of EGCG with quercetin led to a decrease of CD44+/CD133 + prostate cells through inhibition of Vimentin, Slug, Snail, and nuclear β-catenin expression and LEF-1/TCF responsive reporter activity, affecting the CSC migration and invasion (Tang et al., 2010), and in combination with curcumin, it led to a reduction of sphere formation from breast tumor cells by inhibition of STAT3 phosphorylation and retention of STAT3-NFkB interaction (Chung & Vadgama, 2015). This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and breast neoplasm.
