Furthermore, there were no cell morphology changes between TWIST1-overxepressed A498/Caki2 cells and TWIST1-knockdown miR-210-3p-depleted A498/Caki2 cells (data not shown), suggesting that miR-210-3p may regulate other EMT-related genes either directly or indirectly apart from TWIST1. Also, it showed that TWIST1 was not solely responsible for the morphological changes observed upon miR-210-3p knockdown in ccRCC cells. The gene discussed is TWIST1; the disease is nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
