PLCG2 takes part in protein kinase C (PKC) signalling and has been shown to cause nuclear translocation of PKCα during the induction of apoptosis in gastric cancer cells.40 Our localisation studies showed that PRINS and PMAIP1 (NOXA) exhibit focal and overlapped fluorescence signals in the nucleus prompting their functional interaction, which we proved by co-IP experiments. The gene discussed is PRRT2; the disease is gastric cancer.
