Cong et al. [2015] also found esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) patients with high SATB1 expression had significantly shorter survival than those with low SATB1 expression, which indicates high SATB1 expression might serve as a predictive biomarker of poor prognosis in ESCC and possibly could be a promising new candidate for targeted therapies [23]. Here, SATB1 is linked to esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
