Collectively, these results suggest that TAM-specific overexpression of AdipoR2, and to a lesser extent AdipoR1, results in reduced HFD-induced weight gain concomitant with amelioration of HFD-induced adipose inflammation in epididymal fat pads, increased adiponectin expression and circulating adiponectin levels as well as reduced hyperinsulinemia. The gene discussed is ADIPOR1; the disease is hyperinsulinism.
