Likelihood ratio tests for differential gene expression between patient groups were significant (P‐value < 0.05) for 17 transcripts (ALDH1A2, CENPE, CLTCL1, DPT, ITGA11, KLC3, PJA1, PLCL2, PNMAL1, SELE, SIGLEC8, SPRY4, TNFRSF19, TNFSF4, TPX2, TSC22D3, and ZNF704), providing evidence that these biomarkers are complimentary to Gleason score for the prognostic classification of patients with PCa. This evidence concerns the gene PJA1 and posterior cortical atrophy.
