These results were encouraging, because they were similar or superior to those obtained with use of the third generation EGFR-TKI, osimertinib (AZD9291) in recent clinical study in patients with previously treated NSCLC and sub-population analysis of patients with no detectable EGFR T790M (69 % of the patients had an estimated response duration of 6 months or longer, with a median progression-free survival of 2.8 months (95 % CI, 2.1 to 4.3; 71 % maturity) in 62 patients with no detectable EGFR T790M [26].
