SOD3 and hyperuricemia: The possible mechanisms of this protective effect of SUA included: (1) SUA was one of the most important serum antioxidant factors and an anti-inflammatory factor [37–40]; (2) SUA could stabilize endothelia progenitor cells (EPCs) [41]; (3) SUA could decrease the degradation of the extracellular superoxide dismutase-3(SOD3) [42]; (4) In the chronic disease, hyperuricaemia was a reaction of the negative feedback mechanism to counterbalance the increased level of reactive oxygen species (ROS) [43].
