GPI and Tremor: In that brain network model, the thalamus generates the “real” tremor oscillations and PD tremor activity found in the BG nuclei (e.g., Gpi) could therefore simply represent an efferent copy of either thalamic or striatal activity (Duval et al., 2016), which supports our findings that enhanced thalamic centrality and putamen–thalamic functional connectivity were present in the TP group.
