In summary, Cis A, an active phenylethanoid glycosides isolated from C. deserticola, exhibited a significant antiosteoporotic activity on OVX mice, and the molecular mechanism may be related to TRAF6-mediated NF-kappaB inactivation and PI3K/Akt activation, thus likely a promising agent for the treatment of osteoporosis disease. Here, AKT1 is linked to osteoporosis.
