It is known that EGFR is overly active in many cancers and that IKKα genetic/epigenetic downregulation (Maeda et al., 2007; Park et al., 2007) and cytoplasmic sequestration (Marinari et al., 2008) can trigger oncogenic pathways, of which the regulators of sequestration remain unknown.
