IL1B and cutaneous mastocytosis: Acute CM patients had significantly (P = 0.0009) higher median concentrations of IL-1β (2.48 pg/ml) than controls (median, 1.89 pg/ml) during acute infection (Fig. 1C), and surprisingly, the level in the CM group remained elevated (median, 3.09 pg/ml) in convalescence (Fig. 2C).
