The meta-analysis showed that the genes of progesterone receptor membrane component 1 (PGRMC1) and hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase (HADH) were significant over 13 studies of diabetes with p-values (Bin_P) of 1.03E−6 and 1.03E−6 respectively, and the genes of insulin receptor substrate 1 (IRS1) and mercaptopyruvate sulfurtransferase (MPST) were significant across five studies of insulin action with Bin_P of 3.13E−7. The gene discussed is INS; the disease is diabetes mellitus.
