In the validation study, the plasma concentration of CD5L was found significantly elevated in the CP-CML group, which dropped to the normal levels following TKI-based therapy (ANOVA p-value ≤ 0.0001 and F-value = 110.6), suggesting the effectiveness of candidate marker in monitoring the therapeutic-response as well. This evidence concerns the gene CD5L and chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
