There are multiple genes associated with microcephaly vera, including MCPH1, ASPM, CDK5RAP2, CENPJ, STIL, WDR62, CEP135, CEP152, CEP63, and CEP152, all of which encode for proteins associated with centrosome, mitotic spindles, or centrioles (David et al. 2014; Gilmore and Walsh 2013). Here, CEP152 is linked to autosomal recessive primary microcephaly.
