There few reports on the relationship between PD-L1 and TILs, and their results are controversial: higher CD8+ lymphocyte infiltration was related to lower PD-L1 expression in early-stage breast cancer [25], whereas PD-L1 expression showed a positive correlation with levels of infiltrating intratumoral CD8+ and FOXP3+ lymphocytes in breast cancer [18]. Here, FOXP3 is linked to breast carcinoma.
