By blocking the coreceptor function of CD44v6 for c‐Met and VEGF‐R, it is possible to inhibit protumorigenic events such as angiogenesis, tumor cell migration, and metastasis; while by coupling conventional anticancer drugs such as gemcitabine or fluororacil to the nanocarriers, the synergistic anticancer effect can be achieved. The gene discussed is MET; the disease is neoplasm.
