Interestingly, other existing clinicopathological factors were not significantly associated with poor prognosis, whereas the detection of high RAB5 expression in pancreatic cancer tissues remained prognostically significant with regard to overall survival (Table 2; RR = 1.32, 95% CI = 1.02–1.74, P = 0.0376). This evidence concerns the gene RAB5A and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
