After co-culture with BMSCs, MM cells increased levels of phosphorylated AKT and ERK [27, 28], cyclin D2, CDK4, and Bcl-XL, and decreased cleaved Caspase- 3 and PARP [29], which are important signaling pathways involved in proliferation and apoptosis of MM cells. Here, AKT1 is linked to Miyoshi myopathy.
